112 India by Union Government is a part of the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS). This app alerts the state emergency control room by sending the user’s personal details like name, age, and current location. So, if a woman has downloaded this app and seeks help in time of distress a call is generated to 112 and the user’s emergency contacts. Thus, this app provides 24×7 effective response system and helps the police, fire, health or disaster management to reach the exact location quickly. Apart from this, this app also alerts the nearby online volunteers.

Update your kith and kin about your current location or alert them if you consider your location is not safe. You can find three colored buttons green, orange, and red in this app. The orange button denotes being cautious and if you are in danger then tap the red button. If you just want to update your current location to your friends, then tap the green button. The alert message with the location and link to Google Map along with two pictures is sent to the preconfigured email IDs.
